Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financial Services&Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Building&Construction sectors led shares higher. At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 3.06%. The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Indra A (MADRID:IDR), which rose 8.99% or 0.859 points to trade at 10.410 at the close. Meanwhile, Acerinox (MADRID:ACX) added 6.24% or 0.583 points to end at 9.920 and Arcel. Mittal (MADRID:MTS) was up 5.80% or 0.387 points to 7.064 in late trade. The worst performers of the session were Abengoa B (MADRID:ABGek), which fell 3.09% or 0.035 points to trade at 1.099 at the close. FCC (MADRID:FCC) added 0.83% or 0.062 points to end at 7.546 and Gas Natural (MADRID:GAS) was up 1.04% or 0.188 points to 18.133. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 180 to 20 and 7 ended unchanged. Gold for December delivery was down 0.19% or 2.10 to $1122.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 8.50% or 3.28 to hit $41.88 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 7.55% or 3.25 to trade at $46.40 a barrel. EUR/USD was down 0.86% to 1.1218, while EUR/GBP fell 0.41% to 0.7287. The US Dollar Index was up 0.71% at 95.98.
