Slovakia’s consumer confidence held steady in January, after improving in the previous three months, figures from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Thursday.
The consumer confidence indicator came in at -10.4 in January, the same as in the previous month. In November, the score was -13.3.
At the same time, the economic sentiment index improved slightly to 102.9 in January from 102.7 in December. Latest reading was the highest since September, when the score was 103.1.
Confidence improved in the industrial sector, while it remained stable in the retail trade. Morale weakened in the construction and services sectors.
