Russian Federation stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining, Oil and Gas and Telecom sectors led shares higher while losses in the Manufacturing, Power and Telecom sectors led shares lower. At the close in Moscow, the RTSI fell 4.04%, while the MICEX index gained 1.07%. The best performers of the session on the RTSI were NOVATEK (MCX:NVTK), which rose 8.27% or 34.50 points to trade at 451.50 at the close. Meanwhile, ALROSA ao (MCX:ALRS) added 6.42% or 3.770 points to end at 62.490 and PhosAgro ao (MCX:PHOR) was up 4.96% or 78.0 points to 1650.0 in late trade. The worst performers of the session were SG mechel (MCX:MTLR), which fell 6.74% or 1.93 points to trade at 26.70 at the close. Sberbank (MCX:SBER) declined 4.59% or 2.62 points to end at 54.51 and Mos obl sb (MCX:MSRS) was down 3.38% or 0.0450 points to 1.2850. The top performers on the MICEX were NOVATEK (MCX:NVTK) which rose 8.27% to 451.50, ALROSA ao (MCX:ALRS) which was up 6.42% to settle at 62.490 and PhosAgro ao (MCX:PHOR) which gained 4.96% to close at 1650.0.The worst performers were SG mechel (MCX:MTLR) which was down 6.74% to 26.70 in late trade, Sberbank (MCX:SBER) which lost 4.59% to settle at 54.51 and Mos obl sb (MCX:MSRS) which was down 3.38% to 1.2850 at the close. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 86 to 58 and 3 ended unchanged. USD/RUB was up 7.23% to 57.362, while EUR/RUB rose 6.95% to 69.837. The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 90.35.
