Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower. At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.59%. The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LISBON:PHRA), which rose 2.45% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.2510 at the close. Meanwhile, CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LISBON:CTT) added 2.12% or 0.2000 points to end at 9.6500 and Mota Engil (LISBON:MOTA) was up 1.64% or 0.0330 points to 2.0450 in late trade. The worst performers of the session were Banco Comercial Portugues (LISBON:BCP), which fell 5.61% or 0.0029 points to trade at 0.0488 at the close. Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF) declined 4.88% or 0.0002 points to end at 0.0039 and Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) was down 3.79% or 0.0320 points to 0.8120. Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 39 to 13 and 2 ended unchanged. Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (LISBON:BCP) fell to 52-week lows; falling 5.61% or 0.0029 to 0.0488. Shares in Banif SA (LISBON:BANIF) fell to all time lows; losing 4.88% or 0.0002 to 0.0039. Shares in Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.79% or 0.0320 to 0.8120. Brent oil for November delivery was down 3.20% or 1.57 to $47.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.73% or 0.77 to hit $43.86 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.40% or 4.40 to trade at $1107.70 a troy ounce. EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1310, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.7332. The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 95.42.
