Poland’s unemployment rate decreased for the seventh straight month in September, figures from the Central Statistical Office showed Friday.
The registered unemployment rate fell to 9.7 percent in September from 9.9 percent in August, which was revised down from 10.0 percent. The expected jobless rate for September was also 9.9 percent.
In the corresponding month of the previous year, the unemployment rate was 11.5 percent.
The registered unemployed people decreased to 1.53 million in September from 1.56 million in the preceding month. A year ago, the jobless figure totaled 1.82 million.
