Lithuania’s industrial production increased in January from a year ago, figures from Statistics Lithuania showed Monday.
Industrial production climbed a working-day-adjusted 3.1 percent year-over-year in January. On an unadjusted basis, production rose by 1.2 percent.
Production in the manufacturing sector advanced 5.7 percent annually in January, while mining and quarrying output tumbled by 22.9 percent.
On a monthly basis, industrial production fell a seasonally and working-day-adjusted 2.2 percent at the start of the year. Without adjustment, production declined by 5.9 percent.
