Latvia’s industrial production declined for a third consecutive month in July, albeit at a slower pace, figures from the Central Statistical Bureau showed Wednesday.
The industrial production dropped a calendar-adjusted 1.5 percent year-on-year following 2 percent fall in the previous month. Production has declined in all months this year thus far except April.
Manufacturing output fell 2.6 percent, while mining and quarrying production decreased 6.6 percent. Meanwhile, utility sector output grew 4.9 percent.
On a monthly basis, however, production increased 1.4 percent in July after a 1.3 percent drop in June. It was the biggest increase since April, when production rose 2.3 percent.
